French Review - Les endroits
dans l’école, comment ça va?, comment t’appelles-tu?, la date
1. For
the quiz, students will need to be able to match a picture of a
school location with one of the following
French words:
*la fontaine the fountain *la cafétéria the cafeteria une école the school la salle des professeurs the staff room *les toilettes the washroom le bureau the office *le gymnase the gym *le corridor the hall la cour the yard la bibliothèque the library *la salle de classe the classroom |
They should also be able to indicate which of
these words are “mots-amis” (word-friends) - similar in French to the English
word. These words are indicated above
with an *.
2. For
“Comment ça va?”, students should be able to understand what the question is
asking, and match the answers with the correct facial expression or
picture. The 4 answers we have discussed
are:
Ça va bien. I am fine/well. Comme ci, comme ça. I am so-so. Ça va mal. I am not happy. |
3. For
“Comment t’appelles-tu?”, students should be able to answer the question in
writing, copying from a model.
4.
Students will be expected to write the date in answer to the
question “Quelle est la date aujourd’hui?”
There will be a box for them to select the correct words.

jeudi - Thursday
vendredi - Friday
samedi - Saturday
dimanche - Sunday
